Protecting His Workmanship: Teaching Your Child God’s Design for Sexual Purity is an experience to be shared, not just a book to be read.  Workmanship was written to open and deepen the lines of communication between parents and children on the challenging subject of sex and to preserve the sexual purity of teens in a sex-saturated world.  This workbook lowers the intimidation level on this difficult subject by providing six interactive lessons through which to teach your children God’s design for love, sex, and marriage.  The six sections are:

1. Physical Changes and Sexual Love – The Nuts and Bolts
2. God’s Design – Purity When Single and Faithfulness When Married
3. Infatuation and Lust vs. True Love
4. Integrity, Self-Control, and Sexual Purity
5. Whom and When Should I Date?
6. The Covenant of Sexual Purity

Each of the six sessions involves three activities:  First, the parent(s) lead a guided discussion with their teen about the targeted topic while the child fills in a worksheet.  Next, the child takes time to do an individual Bible study which uses Scripture to reinforce the principles that were discussed.  Lastly, the parent(s) and child come back together to discuss and reaffirm what they have learned.

The time spent studying this critical area of life together will inspire youth to save themselves for that one special person to whom they will someday make a lifelong commitment in marriage.
